6 pork chops, 1/2 inch thick 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs or cracker crumbs 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 egg, slightly beaten 3 tbl. oil 1/3 cup water 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
In a shallow dish, combine bread crumbs, salt and pepper. Dip the pork chops into the egg, then into the bread crumbs. Brown the chops in hot oil on both sides in a large fry pan. Add water and Worcestershire sauce. Cover and simmer 35-40 minutes, until tender. Uncover and continue cooking about 10 minutes until the coating is crisp.
