2 cups apples 1 tbl. sugar 1 tsp. cinnamon
3 cups flour 3 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 2 cups white sugar 1/2 cup vegetable oil 1/2 cup applesauce 1/4 cup orange juice 2 tsp. vanilla 4 eggs 1/2 cup chopped nuts 1/2 cup raisins
In a small bowl combine the apples, sugar and cinnamon. In a large bowl, combine 2 cups sugar, oil, orange juice,applesauce and eggs. Beat at medium speed until well blended. Add flour mixture, fold in the apple mixture, nuts, and raisins.Bake in a greased and floured 10 inch bundt pan for 55-60 minutes. Cool in pan 10 minutes, invert onto serving platter. Dust with powdered sugar.
Or top with a caramel sauce: 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup cream 1/2 cup butter
Combine ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat. Boil, stirring continuously for 2 minutes.
