3/4 cup sour cream 1/4 cup milk 1 cup sugar 3 large eggs 1 tsp vanilla 4 cup sifted flour 2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp nutmeg 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp salt Combine cream and milk; beat until foamy. Gradually add sugar and eggs, beating until sugar is dissolved. Stir in vanilla and sifted dry ingredients. Chill for 1 hour. Roll 1/2 inch thick. Cut out doughnuts. Fry in deep hot fat (365*) until brown. Drain. Makes 2-1/2 dozen.
