Apricot Chocolate Brownies

1 stick Unsalted Butter or Margarine
2 squares unsweetened Chocolate
2 eggs at room temperature
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3 tbl. Apricot Brandy
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup dried apricots snipped to size of chocolate chips
1/2 cup apricot Jam

Melt butter and chocolate in a Double boiler.
Grease an 8 inch square pan Beat together eggs and sugar until light. Add vanilla and 1 tbl. of the Brandy.
Beat in melted butter and chocolate, alternating with beating in the flour.

Fold in the chocolate chips and apricots. spread half the mixture in the pan. Mix the remaining brandy with the preserves. Carefully spread over the mixture in the pan
Put pan into freezer for at least a half hour.

Preheat oven to 350*.
Bake at 350* for 45 Minutes, turning pan once midway through.
