1 quart (about 10) peeled, cored, chopped apples 5 cups sugar 1 cup golden raisins 3/4 cup chopped walnuts 1/2 cup vinegar 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. mace 1/4 tsp. allspice 1 pouch liquid pectin
Prepare home canning jars and lids according to manufacturers instructions. Combine chopped apples, sugar, walnuts, vinegar and spices in large (6 to 8 quart) sauce pot. Bring to full boil over high heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in liquid pectin. Ladle into hot jars leaving 1/4 inch head space. Adjust caps. Process 10 minutes in boiling water bath canner. Yields: about 5 (12 ounce) jars.
